Can you share a little about yourself and how your involvement in the world of crafts began?
I first learned the craft of crochet when I had a baby. Initially, my intention was simply to have something to busy myself with while looking after my child.
Can you tell us when and how your interest in crafts first emerged?
Initially, I learned from a friend, my first creation was a small crochet bag. This bag was soon bought by a neighbour. I used the money from this first sale to buy more yarn, and create more items. As time went on, my interest grew, and I became more motivated to learn various crochet patterns.
How did you first get involved with Komang Darmiani in this ‘creative collective’, and what made her so interesting to you?
I first met Komang Darmiani through Facebook. She was looking for a crocheter to create various products, and so I messaged her. Komang and I chatted, and we got along straight away, so I felt comfortable to work with Komang.
What was the most enjoyable for you when collaborating with Komang Darmiani?
Komang is the type of person who really appreciates other people's work. She never bargains or sets her own prices, so our work is valued according to our capabilities.
Being a mother herself, Komang is also very family-friendly and often helps my family. She has become like our own big sister because she is so good to us. The whole family here knows Komang.
Collaboration with Komang doesn’t provide any pressure at all, what is important to Komang is satisfactory results, not how quickly work is completed. I feel that Komang Darmiani products are an excellent choice, and I (and my family) really appreciate meeting her.
If you had suggestions or ideas to improve Komang Darmiani, what would you recommend?
I suggest maintaining product quality, even though orders may increase. Hopefully more new products will be launched, and the enthusiasm to continue improving product quality remains high.
